Learn By Doing

In order to be successful in your clinical year, you will practice using lab equipment and performing lab tests in our on-campus laboratories. The equipment we have prepares you to work in a variety of lab settings. Our student labs also require you to work in teams, giving you important communication and leadership skills you’ll need to be successful in your career.

Outside the Classroom

You’ll spend your senior year taking classes and working in an active hospital setting. You’ll work with hospital staff to provide lab results that physicians will use to diagnose, treat, and monitor patient progress.

You’ll rotate through various areas of the hospital: Clinical Microbiology, Blood Bank, Immunology, Education and Management, Clinical Chemistry, and more.

The best part? Because they’ve spent time training you, most hospitals hire the students who complete the full fourth year successfully.
