Internet Links for Internships and Jobs in Environmental Science

1. Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) sponsored by the National Science Foundation.  These pay $5,000 or more per summer with free housing, hundreds of possibilities all over the U.S., many of them with an environmental focus, see for yourself at

2. Student Conservation Association (SCA), these pay minimally for summer work, but are the best foot in the door if you want to work for the National Park Service or some of the other federal institutions.  They are all outdoor oriented in some of the best places in the U.S.

3. Thomas More College summer internship at their field station on the Ohio River.  This internship loves USF students and our students have loved the experience – fish focused.

  1. Check out the Texas A&M Wildlife Job Board.  These are not just jobs in Texas or just for Texas A&M or just for wildlife management.  These are ecology-oriented jobs all over the nation.  Click on the internship link and find dozens of really good possibilities.
